Rebecca Cote

Rebecca Cote is a visual artist living and working in Biddeford Maine. Her return to the studio after a long career as a wilderness guide has awarded her exposure in several group shows in both Maine and Massachusetts. She creates art that reflects her long and intimate observations of and relationships with the natural world in the mountains and rivers of northern California. Curious about the connection between realistic and abstract landscape painting, she uses dynamic gestures and subtleties of line and color to depict nature’s energetic moments.
She also loves to engage the public in creating, helping them to recognize their innate creativity is a gift we all share.
