Kennebunk Maine based artist Nancy Bariluk-Smith is no stranger to creative expression. Having explored various creative endeavors since the age of 16, Nancy now focuses on painting. Her paintings are a combination of abstract and semi-abstract. Being an avid gardener, her art reflects her love of the outdoors and the magic of nature, especially the beauty of flowers. Each work of art is an exploration in tone, color, mark making, and texture. Multiple layers are created using a combination of natural tools, including brushes, sponges, rags, rollers, bubble wrap, scrapers, and sticks. It’s in creating the layers that the painting appears.
