My work combines expressive Fauvist color with a contemporary pointillist approach that many collectors compare to mosaics. Thousands of individual marks come together to create paintings that feel alive with movement, energy, and light. Every stroke responds to the one before it, forming what I think of as a living puzzle.

I’m not interested in simply recording scenery. I’m interested in what happens when a landscape becomes a reminder. A reminder that beauty still exists. A reminder that wonder is still available.A reminder that joy can be an act of courage.

Collectors often tell me they don’t just admire my paintings. They want to be inside them. That’s exactly what I’m after. I want my work to become a doorway into a world that feels more vivid, more hopeful, and more alive than the one we’re often handed.

I’ve been selling my art professionally since 1998, and my original oil paintings and prints are held in private collections across the United States. My work is represented by The Hive Gallery in Kennebunk, Maine, and I also create commissioned paintings for collectors who want a meaningful place translated through my language of color, movement, and emotional memory.

Diane lives in Auburn, Maine, and works out of her studio there. She also maintains a schedule for personal visits and art showings at Hive Gallery. Her summer schedule can be found here: Hive Gallery, 5 Chase Hill Road, Kennebunk: https://www.dianebeem.com/hive-gallery
