Chantal Bourdon is a French Canadian artist whose inspiration stems from the act of slowing down,

the act of tenderly observing.

Spending most her summers in Fortunes Rocks, Maine, Bourdon translates the quiet, contemplative moments spent on the shores and in her garden into muted tones through the medium of watercolor.

​

Bourdon experiments with her water and paints similarly to waves crashing on rocks, letting the medium take her away into her peaceful paintings.

Having a background in mathematics as well as architecture, Bourdon finds release and comfort in the creative an unpredictable outlet of watercolor and fiber arts.
